- 0:01Being my own boss, I wanted to build something on my own and kind of like giving others the
- 0:10same opportunity to do the same. I'm Sam. I'm Dominique. I'm Cedric and yeah we're Truform.
- 0:18My path started easily 15 years ago like with a quite broad normal apprenticeship here as we
- 0:25do it in Switzerland. I always wanted to work for myself and I tried to launch
- 0:31like probably 20-40 side projects over the last decade and none of it worked in
- 0:39the beginning and I started taking on freelance projects again and yeah this
- 0:43kind of like grew more and more realizing probably need some more dope
- 0:48people. We all originally did the same apprenticeship in Switzerland. We work at
- 0:54traditional agencies where we did most of the design work and always had the pain of
- 0:59passing things over to the devs and kind of not having things built the way we wanted
- 1:05or as pixel perfect as we wanted it.
- 1:08And that's where Framer opened the door.
- 1:11I had some contact with Miro like, I don't know, like six years ago.
- 1:14Project was really small.
- 1:16I think it was like just this intelligent canvas landing page.
- 1:20Mainly me, a few project managers, Rafali, which is the web lead at Miro,
- 1:25shipped a few iterations of the first language pages, kind of like in a team of two.
- 1:30They liked it a lot.
- 1:31And so it grew more into taking over a lot more of the pages.
- 1:36In Framework, it really feels like first class.
- 1:38The dev tools are really built for this.
- 1:40It feels really native, and I think you get the best of both worlds.
- 1:44So for big sites like Miro, 90% are built directly in framework completely without any code no lips and stuff.
- 1:51Like half is old CMS, like a lot of data is like shared currently.
- 1:55And it was still like really nice to see how well this actually worked on this large scale because we have like, I don't know, six figures in traffic here.
- 2:04The site has like grown a lot.
- 2:05CMS collections in Framer, you have to scroll on a 27-inch screen,
- 2:12I don't know, maybe 50 CMS collections.
- 2:15It's a step for the biggest story we've seen at all.
- 2:21I think there's nothing bigger.
- 2:23Do the Science of Framer, do the Shipping Framer,
- 2:26and because this is kind of the same step,
- 2:28we're probably twice as fast as traditional agencies.
- 2:32The other thing like many are a bit afraid of like the scalability part like
- 2:37frameworks for landing pages whatever it's like something we hear a lot but to
- 2:42be honest like the way CMS is built you have complete freedom up to the
- 2:46imagination of the of the builder and we can kind of like scale that thing to do
- 2:51the mood
