  1. 0:00My name is Johnny, I'm co-founder of Perplexity, and I've been working on product and engineering
  2. 0:04for the last four years.
  3. 0:05Perplexity has always been very centered around search and accuracy, so the ability to process
  4. 0:10a large amount of information has been very important to us.
  5. 0:13Every single time the model gets better at writing code, search and accuracy improves
  6. 0:16because it's able to write code that then searches the web, or searches your internal
  7. 0:21information, or combines all the information together into a very concise summary that
  8. 0:26the human can read.
  9. 0:27But the key challenge as the models and the AI keeps improving is trying to figure out
  10. 0:31how to take those informational aspects of perplexity and applying them to real world
  11. 0:37systems.
  12. 0:38So for example, the latest generation of models like Astra were able to actually have it craft
  13. 0:43communications, edit real world systems, and monitor our production software in a way that
  14. 0:48previous generations of models were not able to.
  15. 0:51I think as the AI evolves, we're actually able to trust it with full end-to-end systems
  16. 0:56and actually check in on it less frequently or much less frequently than previous generations of models.
  17. 1:01And we're excited to deliver that in the form of new form factors as well to our products and to our customers.
