  1. 0:01Codex has been able to use the web for a while now and watching it click around never gets old.
  2. 0:06But one thing that is annoying is that it's quite slow. We're releasing WebMCP support in Codex and
  3. 0:12what that lets you do is just add tools straight into your website and it lets Codex go ahead pull
  4. 0:18it down and figure out exactly the capabilities that it needs to know about to make really great
  5. 0:24results on your website. I've put together a little demo called Codex Modeling Studio and
  6. 0:28And it lets Codex open the website and just visually iterate on a 3D model that you can even 3D print after.
  7. 0:34It's able to set up shapes, take screenshots from different angles without interrupting your view.
  8. 0:40And we can kind of collaborate, Codex and I, on the demo and I can give it notes as it works.
  9. 0:46It's a little demo just to show off the capabilities of something like pretty advanced that you can put in a website.
  10. 0:51You know, sites are not just for, you know, simple eShop pages.
  11. 0:54You can actually have full 3D renderings and all kinds of things going on there.
  12. 0:58And having WebMCP just really elevates the possibilities
  13. 1:01of what you can show and distribute to people.
  14. 1:03Adding WebMCP to your site
  15. 1:05is just as easy as asking Codex to do it.
  16. 1:07It can go ahead, figure out the spec,
  17. 1:08and write the tools for you.
  18. 1:10What I recommend is that you spend some time dogfooding,
  19. 1:13iterating with Codex.
  20. 1:14Codex is your customer.
  21. 1:15It's the one using the tools, not the user.
  22. 1:17So you wanna make sure that tools are discoverable to it
  23. 1:20and it knows exactly what it needs to do.
  24. 1:22You can spend some time trimming down your tool set,
  25. 1:25making sure the descriptions are clear,
  26. 1:27and is able to get to where it needs to go as efficiently as possible.
  27. 1:31Codex will tell you if you ask it for feedback,
  28. 1:33and I've even added a feedback tool in the demo here.
  29. 1:36So as Codex works, it can flag errors
  30. 1:39and let me know when there's something that needs fixing.
  31. 1:42It's a very different world to build tools for a model
  32. 1:46versus having them be for a person,
  33. 1:48but we're in this world now where models and people
  34. 1:52can collaborate on the same interface with different channels,
  35. 1:55and it's a very different experience,
  36. 1:56but it's a whole new world having Codex build tools for itself
  37. 1:59and being able to iterate on visuals alongside you
  38. 2:02as you see something different than it does.
  39. 2:05I'm just starting to scratch the surface of what's possible to build
  40. 2:08now that agents can interact with sites independently of you,
  41. 2:11and I'm really excited to see what you all build.
