- 0:00Hi everyone, my name is Matt, and today I'm going to show you how PixelSnap integrates
- 0:03to CleanShot X so you can get the absolute best screenshots possible.
- 0:07PixelSnap makes it easy to measure anything on your screen, and CleanShot lets you take
- 0:11amazing screenshots, so integrating these apps together can have some awesome results.
- 0:16In this example, I've measured a few items on the page, I've got distances between them,
- 0:20and I've laid down a guide to ensure that everything is lined up correctly.
- 0:23I want to share these with someone else so I can use PixelSnap's built-in screenshot
- 0:27feature.
- 0:28I'll just hit Command S to bring up the screenshot tool and save my measurements quickly.
- 0:33I can also easily select this part of the screen and click in the middle of it to take
- 0:37a screenshot of just this area.
- 0:39Both these files are saved to my desktop, and I can share them however I want.
- 0:43But there are two things we can do to level up our PixelSnap screenshots, and we're going
- 0:47to have to go into the PixelSnap preferences to make that happen.
- 0:50The first thing you can turn on is padding, which will automatically add some padding
- 0:54to your PixelSnap screenshots.
- 0:56You can set a specific number of pixels to add, but I find the auto option works great.
- 1:02Now that this is on, let's go back to the website, select this area, and take a screenshot.
- 1:08You can see a bit of padding was added around the area I was capturing, which just looks
- 1:13a lot better.
- 1:15And if you have CleanShot X installed as well, you can do even more, so let's turn that
- 1:19on in the PixelSnap preferences and take some more measurements.
- 1:23I can once again use Command S in Pixelsnap to take a screenshot, but now instead of saving
- 1:28directly to the desktop, you can see it appears here in the quick access overlay, and I can
- 1:33do everything that I'd normally do with any screenshot I take with CleanShot.
- 1:37I can go into the editor and mark it up some more, I can copy it to my clipboard, and I
- 1:42can of course upload it to my CleanShot cloud account.
- 1:45This integration makes Pixelsnap even more powerful, and if you're already using either
