- 0:00Hi, my name is Matthew and I'm an engineer here at Warp. Today I'm going to talk about our
- 0:04orchestration features. Suppose we have these three directories and these three directories
- 0:09are missing tests. We'd like for them to have complete tests. To do that, what I'm going to do
- 0:13is I'm going to fire off this slash orchestrate slash command. This is going to tell Warp to
- 0:18engage our orchestration features when trying to solve this problem. So let me get that started so
- 0:24we can kind of talk while it cooks. So orchestration is basically just the ability for an agent to
- 0:30start other agents, and then for those agents to communicate between each other. They can pass
- 0:36messages to each other, and they can listen to each other's lifecycle events so that they know
- 0:41what the other agents are doing. You can see here at the top of the plan, there's an orchestration
- 0:45config. We have a few options here. We can just accept the orchestration config as it is. And so
- 0:50when we execute the plan, the agent will use orchestration to solve the problem.
- 0:54We can also open the details here. We can see that the agent has actually
- 0:58selected some default settings here. It's decided to use local agents because it
- 1:03thinks that's the best for this use case, but also it's chosen to use our warp
- 1:07harness and to use our base model, which is just this is just defaulting to the
- 1:11base model that we're already using. But we can also change these if we want. We
- 1:15could set a different model, decide to use a different model, or we could use it
- 1:19a different harness. We also have the ability to start cloud agents. So you can see we have
- 1:24all the settings there for starting a cloud agent. Lastly, we can also toggle this switch here to say
- 1:29that we don't actually want to use orchestration to solve this problem. But for now, let's accept
- 1:34the settings that it has. And let's just say execute this plan. And we'll see what happens.
- 1:44It says spawning three agents, spawn them.
- 1:47And now you can see that we've engaged our orchestration UI.
- 1:51You can see that there's a series of pills across the top here.
- 1:53We can click on each of these pills to see what each of the three agents that were started are doing.
- 2:00You can see they're each operating independently, working on their task.
- 2:03And back at the orchestrator, we can see that the agents have already started to exchange some messages.
- 2:09Each agent has sent a message saying that it started on its task.
- 2:13And as each agent proceeds through its task, the orchestrator agent will receive lifecycle events that will tell it what phase of the process the individual agents are in.
- 2:23And we'll be able to follow along.
- 2:25We can also do some things like if we want to, we can open these agents in their own pane so that we can have side by side panes and then close that up.
- 2:35But we can also do things like open a new tab or stop an agent or kill an agent.
- 2:41Alright, so I think that's it for this demo.
- 2:44Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and I hope you get a chance to try our new orchestration features and more.
