  1. 0:03In this video, we'll show you how to collect blood samples at home. Let's get started.
  2. 0:11Wash your hands. Remove the tasso device from its tray and remove the cap from the collection tube.
  3. 0:20With the fill lines facing out, press the tube snugly into the device. Activate one of the heat
  4. 0:26packs by snapping the thin metal disc forward and back and apply it to your
  5. 0:31shoulder for four minutes to increase blood flow. Clean the area with an
  6. 0:35alcohol pad and let it dry. Remove the clear cover from the device's red button.
  7. 0:44Now it's time to collect your sample. Peel the tab away from the TASO device
  8. 0:49and stick it to the meaty part of your upper arm. Hang your arm straight down
  9. 0:55keeping it still. Press the red button all the way down once for three seconds
  10. 1:00and then release. This deploys a lancet to puncture your skin creating a slight
  11. 1:06vacuum that helps blood flow. If you're using the tube with the yellow cap let
  12. 1:11it fill to the top line. If it's the tube with the purple cap let it fill for two
  13. 1:16minutes ensuring you don't go longer than three minutes.
  14. 1:23When you're done collecting, peel the device off your arm from one side.
  15. 1:27The lancet will automatically retract into the device in a safe position.
  16. 1:32Apply a bandage to your arm and press lightly.
  17. 1:36Remove the tube from the device by twisting slightly and pulling down.
  18. 1:41Snap the cap onto the tube until you hear a click.
  19. 1:46Right away, flip the tube over once and flick it.
  20. 1:50Then flip it back and forth 10 times to mix the blood sample.
  21. 1:55Repeat these steps to collect your second sample.
  22. 1:58Use the second Tasso device in your kit and your other arm.
  23. 2:07Finally, let's prepare to ship back your samples.
  24. 2:10Place the tubes in the biohazard return bag and press to seal.
  25. 2:14Don't remove the white pad inside. Fill out the collection card and place it in the box along with
  26. 2:20the tubes. Then close the box, apply the prepaid label, and take it to a FedEx location the same
  27. 2:26day. Discard all other materials in a trash can and wash your hands. Congratulations, you're done.
  28. 2:36You'll receive your results in the HIMSS app where you can also message your care team 24-7
