  1. 0:00Settings in Raycast give you the ability to tweak and customize your experience to the
  2. 0:05tiniest detail.
  3. 0:07To get to it, from anywhere in Raycast, press Command, on a mag or Control, on Windows.
  4. 0:14In the sidebar, you will find a few different groups.
  5. 0:17In the first one, you can configure your account and your general Raycast experience with settings
  6. 0:23that apply throughout the whole app.
  7. 0:25In the second section, each tab will allow you to configure a specific default Raycast extension.
  8. 0:32That means they come with Raycast out of the box.
  9. 0:36Each of these tabs will allow you to tweak the functionality of these extensions
  10. 0:41and manage their commands individually.
  11. 0:44While you're inside a command in Raycast,
  12. 0:47pressing Option Command Comma or Control Alt Comma on Windows
  13. 0:51will take you directly to its extension page in settings.
  14. 0:55In the third and last section,
  15. 0:58that's where you can configure your third-party extensions.
  16. 1:01If you don't see this section,
  17. 1:03it just means you haven't installed any extensions yet.
  18. 1:07When you do, each tab will have settings for the extension as a whole,
  19. 1:11as well as a list of all of the commands that come with the extension
  20. 1:16that you can modify individually.
  21. 1:18Here are some pro tips to navigate Raycast settings.
  22. 1:23On the top left corner, there is a search bar that will allow you to look for any configuration
  23. 1:29you need globally.
  24. 1:30On the top right corner of any extension tab, default or third party, there is a toggle
  25. 1:37to disable it which will turn it off completely, removing it from the root search and disabling
  26. 1:42any shortcuts that are associated with it.
  27. 1:45There's a whole page in settings just for shortcuts.
  28. 1:49This is where you can go to configure hotkeys or aliases for each and every command in your Raycast setup.
  29. 1:57Your Raycast settings are going to have a high impact on your muscle memory and your everyday life in your computer.
  30. 2:05To make sure your setup is always as you expect it, don't forget to turn on Cloud Sync if you're a pro subscriber.
  31. 2:12For pro and free users alike, the export section in the advanced settings page will let you schedule password-protected backups, so you can always keep an up-to-date copy of your Raycast setup.
