- 0:00Hey everyone, here's a quick demo of our new Magic Link system.
- 0:03This system replaced the old authentication system where team members had to create an account.
- 0:08In the new system, the only thing we need is an email address and nothing else.
- 0:13So this is SSO safe, you can integrate it in your company without having to use Okta or any other authentication system.
- 0:18We'll be using email Magic Links only, so if you have a secure setup email inbox for your team members,
- 0:26then this is going to work out of the box.
- 0:28So how does it work?
- 0:30Click invite team members.
- 0:32And there's basically two options.
- 0:33You can invite an individual just as before and invite by bulk.
- 0:37I'm going to show you the individual route first and after that, the bulk route.
- 0:40So let's invite someone to our team.
- 0:45Let's invite myself to my team.
- 0:46So I sent the invite button.
- 0:48I'm going to create an invite over there.
- 0:49And I have been invited.
- 0:50You can see the invite over here too.
- 0:53So let me go to my email.
- 0:55I'm going to refresh my email.
- 0:56and there should be an invite to Hedgehog Pro.
- 0:59You've been invited to Hedgehog Pro.
- 1:01So basically, this is creating an invite link.
- 1:05I'm going to open the invite link in my browser.
- 1:07New Browser tab.
- 1:10And basically what it does now is it's going to check your link,
- 1:12it's going to authenticate the link.
- 1:14And if it's a valid link that came from you,
- 1:17it's being invalidated after two hours, then they can get access.
- 1:20So basically, okay, Postgres invited you to your headshot.
- 1:24This is basically how the old system previously works.
- 1:27So you're just going to do your uploads and stuff like that.
- 1:30So what happens if I'm going to close the old tab?
- 1:35How do I get access now?
- 1:37Well, very simple.
- 1:38We just go to the login page.
- 1:40I click the access your team headshots.
- 1:42And now I just have to type in my email address.
- 1:48Let's say I actually just have use a fake one.
- 1:52we could not find any invites for your email address basically they don't have access to
- 1:56your platform but if they do have access to your platform with their email address we will send
- 2:02them a magic link to their inbox so there's no email there i mean there's no password there's
- 2:06nothing involved it's just a magic link so if i open my inbox again i should have received a
- 2:15access link this is a new access link i copy this one and basically as you can see in the bottom of
- 2:20the screen. It has a signature. This one expires after two hours and basically after that they have
- 2:26to request a new invite link. So let's do that. I paste in the link. I'm checking if the link is
- 2:33correct and I get access to my results, to my uploads, anything depending on where the photo
- 2:37shoot status is. Perfect. So now this is on an individual basis. What if I want to create a
- 2:45bulk invite? I just want to share with my company, company-wide. I want to blast out an email. I want
- 2:49to put it in Workday or any other hiring platform. Well, it's really easy now because we have
- 2:55bulk-in-fights and the new setting that you can add is you can add allow users from a company
- 3:00to sign up. So I can put over here. I only want people with the add Postgres email address to have
- 3:08access to this infight link. So I'm going to create an infight link. It's limited to addpostgres.com.
- 3:15So I'm going to copy that link.
- 3:18I'm going to open this one again.
- 3:22And then we position that.
- 3:24And then basically this is the page people see when they click the invite link.
- 3:27So Postgres invited you to create your headshots.
- 3:29If I'm going to try to join with my Headshot Pro email address, for example, it doesn't
- 3:38give me access because I don't have a Postgres email address filled in.
- 3:43but if I do
- 3:48compostpress.com
- 3:50and I request access
- 3:52I'm going to check if there's an already
- 3:53account if there's not an account and I use the correct
- 3:55email address I'll get sent an invite
- 3:57link just so we can check if you actually
- 3:59have this
- 4:01email address right because otherwise someone will get access
- 4:03so I open my email
- 4:06and there we go you've been invited
- 4:07to your Hedgehog Pro I click this link
- 4:10I open it
- 4:11once again in my email tab i get not dedicated and i can access my system now if you want to move
- 4:18from your old system to the new system you're already in the old system you want to access the
- 4:21new system this works perfectly we can just switch it on in our admin system all the old system emails
- 4:26still work if you basically if you go to the join tab and you use an email address that's on the old
- 4:31version we just redirect you to the login system and they can still access their headshots and all
- 4:36All the invites to new team members will be sent out using the new invite system that's
- 4:40completely SSO friendly.
- 4:43So yeah.
