  1. 0:00Hi there, I'm Matt and I'm going to walk you through some of the really cool stuff in CleanShot X version 4.2.
  2. 0:05CleanShot has a ton of different capture options, and you can set keyboard shortcuts for all of them.
  3. 0:10But eventually that can get a little hard to memorize, and CleanShot 4.2 makes this easier with the brand new all-in-one capture mode.
  4. 0:18Now you can set one keyboard shortcut to bring up this picker where you can do all sorts of things.
  5. 0:23Capture part of the screen, the whole screen, do some OCR, or record a video.
  6. 0:27It's all here in one place with one shortcut.
  7. 0:31This also brings a few new features to CleanShot X as well,
  8. 0:34such as being able to take a screenshot of the exact same part of the screen multiple times in a row,
  9. 0:39as well as letting you specify aspect ratios for your screenshots,
  10. 0:42something that was previously only possible for video recordings.
  11. 0:46And if you ever take a bunch of screenshots in a row and they're all in the quick access overlay,
  12. 0:50display, you can now right-click on any of them and close them all or save them all immediately.
  13. 0:55Once you've taken a screenshot, we've added a couple markup improvements as well.
  14. 0:59The arrow is super popular with our users and we've made it better, as well as adding
  15. 1:03a few more styles, including a curved option.
  16. 1:06Redaction tools have also gotten an upgrade focused on security.
  17. 1:10The standard pixelation option has been tweaked to be more secure than before, and there's
  18. 1:14also a pure blackout option if you want some really serious looking redactions.
  19. 1:19You screen recorders out there will appreciate the new ability to limit videos to specific
  20. 1:24resolutions. By default, CleanShot saves all videos at their native resolution,
  21. 1:28which looks great but could lead to really large file sizes.
  22. 1:32For example, if you're recording your screen for a long lecture with a slide deck,
  23. 1:36you may not need your monitor's full native resolution, so this would let you easily create
  24. 1:40a smaller file that's easier to upload to your cloud storage provider or company chat app.
  25. 1:46This update also includes some bug fixes to existing features, and you can find the full
  26. 1:50release notes on our website, link in the description.
